Rose and Peony in Red by Arthur Sanderson & Sons
Rose and Peony in Red by Arthur Sanderson & Sons is from the Classic Linens Collection. Featuring large-scale florals of rose and peony in colourway red. The florals are in red, pink, beige and blues with green foliage and a hint of cream in the spaces between. We have found there to be a damask style and texture adding to the quality and richness of the overall fabric.
We find that Rose and Peony suits a sitting room, particularly in traditionally styled homes. Since this is a striking fabric with a large pattern and vibrant colouring, the fabric would be better placed in larger rooms.
The material is made from a mixed blend of 53% linen, 35% cotton and 12% nylon. The resulting blend of compositions creates a strong fabric suitable for upholstery and drapes. When handling this fabric it has a good weight to it.
We would suggest using Rose and Peony to make up a set of drapes with matching cushions for the settee. Alternatively, the fabric could be used to upholster a three-piece suite or armchair.
The fabric measures 1.37metres in width, excluding the selvedge. We have included a picture of the selvedge in the gallery that verifies the name and manufacturer.
The pattern repeat measures at 55centimetres.
Arthur Sanderson & Sons advise that the fabric can be machine washed at 40°C, hot ironed (200°C max) and is suitable for dry cleaning. Furthermore, do not bleach or tumble dry the fabric.
We stock our fabrics on the roll and cut fabric for customer orders as a singular continuous piece.
Digby & Willoughby are pleased to offer our customers a free sample of this fabric. We recommend customers request a free sample to check the colours and fabric quality before placing an order.
